Movie Review: Fresh (2022)

Here at Movieslap.com, you can expect to read brief movie reviews without a lot of fluff. Think of it as a launching pad to discuss the film with friends, rather than some stuffy person telling you things that you don’t care about. Today, we look at Fresh (2022).

There used to be a running joke that Nicolas Cage had a goal to be in every movie. It seems he may have some competition from Sebastian Stan, as it seems like he has been everywhere as of late.

My favorite quality in an actor is range. Can the real life actor successfully dissolve into the character to such a degree that I only see the character. On a scale from Cate Blanchett to Ryan Reynolds, Stan certainly deserves to be closer to Chameleon Cate on the range spectrum. Here he plays a character that becomes more nuanced and interesting as the film unfolds.

In the end, I found this one charming, disturbing, frustrating, and engaging. And if you can appreciate the sort of movie that gets people talking after the credits roll, you’ve got a winner on your hands.
